Hockey players across the state of Michigan have the opportunity to tryout for the Meijer State Games of Michigan hockey tournament. Seven teams will be formed based on MAHA’s region and one at large team. Players will play a minimum of 3 games in the tournament, receive a team jersey, socks and a player gift. All hockey players will also get free admission into Opening Ceremony (June 21 at Fifth Third Ballpark) and walk in the athlete parade.

Tournament: June 20-23, 2019
Practice: June 19-20, 2019

Divisions: High School (Girls & Boys), 14U (Girls & Boys), 12U and 10U

All divisions will host tryouts and teams will be formed according to MAHA’s seven existing regions. One at large team tryout will be held once the seven region teams have been formed. Practice will be held in Grand Rapids before the tournament (June 19 or 20).


All Michigan athletes and/or athlete that have played in 2018/2019 on a Michigan roster are eligible to compete. All levels of play will be accepted in 2019.

Team Fee: $160

*Team Fee will only be charged to those that make a team. Fee includes team jersey, socks, a gift for the player, 3 games minimum and admission to Opening Ceremony.
