EVENTS

Rimfire Benchrest

Competitors are permitted to enter the event twice, once in unlimited class, once in factory class.

  • Number of Shots: 60

  • Rifle: Any firearm chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge may be used. Rifles will be categorized as “unlimited” or “factory” class.

    • .22 LR (Rimfire) Bench Rest Unlimited Class: There are no weight limits, no dimensional restrictions to barrels, stocks, or limits on scope magnification. Any rest may be used to shoot from the bench, so long as any such rest prevents the barreled action from being affixed to the bench in an immovable manner.

    • .22 LR (Rimfire) Bench Rest Factory Class: Any magazine or tube fed rifle in production that is readily available with a MSRP of less than $1,250. Competitors may load the ammunition one round at a time, if desired. Modifications to the rifle such as rechambering the barrel, adding weight to stock, adding attachments to the barrel such as a tuner or adding plates to the forearm of the stock are prohibited. One-Piece rests are prohibited. Two-Piece rests are allowed. Bipods are allowed. Any optic is allowable and may be attached to the rifle as originally designed by the manufacturer.

  • Distance: 50 foot

  • Target: USA/NRA 50. Two targets shall be mounted simultaneously.

  • Sighting Shots: Unlimited number of sighting shots may be fired any time.

  • Shooting Time: 20 minutes for each set of targets (20 records shots).

  • Target Height: Target height may be adjusted at competitor discretion.

  • Scoring: Decimal scoring will be utilized. Scoring will be conducted by the Orion Scoring System.

  • Ties: Ties will be broken high score on the last target. If the sixth target is also the same score, the fifth target, etc. will be used to break the tie.

BB Gun 2-Position

Competitors are permitted to enter the event once.

  • Gun: Any shoulder held smoothbore BB gun with metallic sights, in which the propelling force is developed through the use of a compressed spring, gas or compressed air. No alterations of factory manufactured BB guns may be made except as provided in the rules (Rule 3.1).

  • BBs: Only round .177 (4.5mm) lead or steel BBs are permitted (Rule 3.17).

  • Sights: Telescopic sight systems are prohibited. See Rule 3.7 Sights.

  • Equipment: See Section 3 Equipment and Ammunition.

  • Course of Fire: 20 shots in each position; prone and sitting.

  • Distance: 5 meters

  • Time: 20 minutes per position.

  • Target: AR-4/10 (Targets scored via Orion Scoring System) · Rules: NRA BB Gun Rule Book

3-Position Air Rifle

Competitors are permitted to enter the event once.

  • Rifle: .177 caliber rifles only. Rifles will be categorized as Sporter Air Rifle (Rule 4.2) or Precision Air Rifle (Rule 4.4).

  • Sights: Telescopic sight systems are prohibited. See Rule 4.2.8 Sights and Rule 4.5 Precision Rifle Sights.

  • Equipment: See Rule 4.3 Sporter Clothing and Accessories and Rule 4.6 Precision Clothing and Accessories.

  • Course of Fire: 20 shots in each position; prone, standing, and kneeling.

  • Distance: 10 meters

  • Time: 20 minutes per stage for prone and kneeling. 25 minutes for standing.

  • Target: NC-AR10 (Targets scored via Orion Scoring System) Rules: CMP Air Rifle and Air Pistol Competition Rules

3-Position Smallbore

Competitors are permitted to enter the event once.

  • Rifle: Any Rifle (Rule 3.2). .22 Short, .22 Long, or .22LR only.

  • Sights: Telescopic sight systems are prohibited. See Rule 3.7(a) Sights – Metallic. Equipment: See Section 3 Equipment and Ammunition.

  • Target: Orion 50m Rifle reduced for 50ft 12 Bull Target (USA-50)

  • Course of Fire: 20 shots in each position; prone, standing, and kneeling.

  • Distance: 50 feet (Rule 6.4)

  • Time: 20 minutes per stage for prone, 40 for standing, 30 for kneeling.

REGISTRATION

Registration closes 6/24/26

Competitors are permitted to enter multiple events. Entries are capped at 12 competitors per relay.

All entries are requested in advance. If range space is available, entries will be accepted onsite; however, there will be a $5 additional fee.

Coed – Junior (Under 21)

Coed – Adult (21 - 59)

Coed – Senior (60 - 74)

Coed - Grand Senior (75+)

  • Age determination date is 6/28/26

VENUE INFORMATION

Range:

50-foot heated indoor range with 12 partitioned firing points. Each firing point has a bench which can be folded down, if desired. Target frames permit targets to be posted at the shooter’s desired height and distance. An air ventilation system continuously brings in fresh air. The range can accommodate air guns, .22LR, and most handgun cartridges. Magnum cartridges, centerfire rifles, and shotguns are prohibited.

Clubhouse:

The spacious clubhouse has tables and chairs throughout, a kitchenet, and two restrooms. Bottled water and soda are available for purchase at a nominal fee (cash only). Additionally, there is free public Wi-Fi access.

Targets

The club has an Orion Scoring System for quick and accurate scoring.

Safety

Competitors are expected to review and familiarize themselves with the range safety rules prior to the event. Eye and hearing protection are required. The use of empty barrel indicators (EBI) is required. Competitors are expected to furnish their own safety equipment. A limited number of eye and hearing protection will be available for purchase the day of the event for a nominal fee (cash only).
