After successfully hosting a northern Michigan hub of the Meijer State Games - Winter Games in Marquette for the past two years, the State Games of Michigan (SGOM) has tapped the nonprofit Great Lakes Sports Commission (GLSC) to act on its behalf as official host of the northern Michigan hub of the Winter Games in Marquette starting in 2024.

NOVACARE REHABILITATION TO PROVIDE SPORTS MEDICAL COVERAGE AT THE UPCOMING SUMMER GAMES

Officials with the Meijer State Games of Michigan announced NovaCare Rehabilitation as the exclusive and official provider of sports medicine for the upcoming Grand Rapids area-based Summer Games sporting events. The Meijer State Games of Michigan and NovaCare are entering the second year of a three-year deal.

Officials with the Michigan Sports Alliance announced that they are now taking applications for summer internship positions. These internships offer hands-on experience working with a close team in the office. All levels of degree-seeking college students are encouraged to apply. The current deadline to apply is March 31st but may be extended if the position is not filled.

The opening ceremony for the 2023 Meijer State Games of Michigan – Winter Games is just over two weeks away. The opening ceremony will take place at the Marquette Mountain Resort (4501 M-553, Marquette, MI 49855) on February 10th starting at 7:00 p.m. This event is free to the public.
