Beach volleyball players enthusiastic to have played in State Games of Michigan

By day, David Vander Meer delivers goodies for his family-owned business, Van’s Pastry Shoppe.
By night, he manages and coaches volleyball with his wife Michelle at their business Carpe Diem Volleyball.
Vander Meer began playing beach volleyball at age 16, and years later invested much more in the sport. In 2003, he ran his first beach tournament in Holland and then opened Carpe Diem (1010 Front Ave. in Grand Rapids) in 2007.
