GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Bigger and better.
In its third year, the Meijer State Games of Michigan experienced a growth spurt that resulted in a record number of participants competing in more sports at more sites throughout West Michigan than ever before.
And by a huge margin.
The final count for this year's Olympic-style sports festival approached 5,800 participants ranging in age from 4 to 83 in 30 different sports at 29 venues that far surpassed last summer's total of 4,000 athletes. (Cont.)
