*Arenas will not clear spectators between back-to-back games.  Prices are the same at all venues and can be purchased at the arena box office each day of the festival. Spectators will also be able to watch any Youth and/or Women's game at the same venue as there are no gate charges for those games.

Event Overview:

The 2016 Meijer State Games of Michigan ice hockey event will be an eight team high school showcase. Eligible high school hockey players from all over the state of Michigan will try-out to represent their region of Michigan at the 5th Annual Meijer State Games of Michigan.

The statewide ice hockey steering committee for the 2016 Meijer State Games of Michigan is committed to offering hockey players, parents, coaches and spectators an exciting Olympic-style event that will be remembered for a life time.

Our steering committee is made up of a group of highly experienced individuals from around the state who have a passion for young people and this great game.  Every one of them is incredibly gifted and have spent years developing their knowledge-base and leadership skills.
 

Eligible Players & Teams:

The ice hockey event will be open to 9 - 11th grade players who are presently playing for their high school varsity team and are planning on returning next season. All players in Michigan are eligible to try-out for the team that will represent their geographical area. Eight teams from all parts of Michigan will come together at the Meijer State Games of Michigan to compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
