Internships

The Meijer State Games of Michigan is looking for interns starting summer 2013.

Example of positions available:

Media / PR Coordinator - Works to develop relationships with local and statewide media to increase the awareness of the Meijer State Games of Michigan. Duties include (not limited to): writing / distributing news releases, coordinating radio / tv interviews, results coordination, etc.

Event Operations Coordinator - Manages event logistics for the Meijer State Games of Michigan. Duties include (not limited to): sports equipment distribution, serving on local organizing committees, sponsorship fulfillment, etc.

Special Events Coordinator - Coordinates special events throughout the Meijer State Games of Michigan. Events include (not limited to): athlete village, pre-opening ceremonies activities, press conferences, etc.

Volunteer Coordinator - Responsible for recruiting and managing 500+ volunteers during the Meijer State Games of Michigan.

Fieldwork hours are also available for students looking to volunteer to fulfill requirements of their major.
